MongoDB and AMAZON WEB SERVICES (AWS) - Minneapolis

Last week MongoDB alongside Amazon Web Services (AWS) hosted a number of technology thought leaders at one of the best restaurants in the city, The Butcher's Tale to discuss: Harnessing AI and Scaling Innovation!

The evening started warming up in the private Bourbon room for a networking hour filled with Champagne, cocktails, canapés and conversations as everyone got to meet and greet each other.

Everyone then took to their seats to hear a fantastic fireside chat between Pete Johnson, Field CTO at MongoDB and Scott Munson, Principal Worldwide Specialist, GenAI at Amazon Web Services (AWS). Thank you so much guys!

After questions from the crowd the conversations then carried on over a multi-course delicious dinner where the discussion points were:

  • How can we or are we planning to align AI initiatives with core business goals, and what practical steps should we take to filter the hype for strategic value? What is realistic and what is hype at this point?

  • How can enterprises effectively manage unstructured, dynamic data and cultivate strong data foundations-including addressing related risks like data security and bias-to fuel powerful AI applications?

  • How is AI reimaging business models today while we look ahead to the next wave of AI innovation? (3-5 years). What key advancements should leaders watch out for, and how can we position our organizations to stay ahead of the competitive curve while effectively managing ethical and regulatory risks?

As dessert was served our three table champions for the evening Lisa Nelson, Pete Johnson & Tiffany Anderson done a fantastic job wrapping up each of the table discussions key take aways!

Some post dinner drinks were had before everyone braved the cold and headed home!

I want to thank everyone who came but a special thank you to Pete Johnson, Jay Gregerson, Scott Munson, Kenneth Wiebke and Tyler Vedder for being great hosts on the evening.
